A dedicated postnatal care program
Adelaide Obstetrics & Fertility is committed to providing outstanding care throughout your entire journey with us, including after you have delivered your new baby.
We have a dedicated postnatal care program which involves a one-on-one midwife consultation to support you in your parenting journey.
Adelaide Obstetrics & Fertility’s experienced private midwife and lactation consultant, Donna Mansell can visit you at your home. Home visits are usually one to two weeks after your delivery, and are offered to all patients living in the Adelaide metropolitan area. Alternatively visits can be booked at our practice to see Donna. You should be contacted postnatally and can speak to our reception staff if you have any questions.
What to expect during your postnatal visit

- Family discussion around your pregnancy, delivery and hospital stay—an opportunity to share your story.

- A comprehensive maternal health check, liaising with your obstetrician as required.
- Support with early parenting, including feeding issues, monitoring the growth of your baby, and general parenting support.
