We love looking after people from the country
Adelaide Obstetrics & Fertility offers a quality ‘shared care’ model for mothers-to-be from country and rural areas of South Australia.
Under our exclusive shared care model, after visiting Adelaide Obstetrics & Fertility in Adelaide for your first consultation—and if we assess you as having a low-risk pregnancy—you can visit your local GP for most of your regular obstetrics and pregnancy check-ups. We’re also available over the phone whenever you need us.
Assuming no further complications or risks are identified during your pregnancy, you will only need to see us in Adelaide at 12 weeks, 20 weeks, 28 weeks, and 36 weeks, and then weekly until you deliver. You can also see us more often you want; it’s up to you.
We then deliver your baby at Ashford Hospital in Adelaide.
Postnatal care can also then be provided under the shared care model.
